Bean Buzz November 2007

PUBLISHED: November 16, 2007

****Bean Team All-Stars ****

The Melissa Bean for Congress campaign could not succeed without the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. We have had a tremendous year and would like to thank everyone for their time and efforts. In this edition of Bean Buzz, we would like to take this opportunity to spotlight the people that have gone above and beyond our call for help.

Bean Team All-Stars: Fall 2007

Patti - Hoffman Estates

Patti has been volunteering on the campaign since 2003. She has done it all- from parades and petitions to phone calls and mailings. You may have even seen her face on our volunteer page or at an event! This fall, Patti has been helping out in our office headquarters helping to maintain our records and we could not be more organized without her!

Charley - Palatine

Charley began volunteering on the campaign last year walking parades. He was considered one of our trusted "foot soldiers" passing out candy and flyers to parade-goers. Lately, you can find Charley in the office helping with just about anything! You may have heard him on the phone updating volunteer contact information or reminding you of an upcoming event. We can't thank Charley (and his truck) enough for all his help!

Teryle - Prospect Heights

Teryle has been part of the Bean Team since 2004. You can always count on her to make any project fun, especially mailings! Teryle has been a tremendous help this fall with our mail program and is truly an all-star helping us reach out to our supporters!

Greg - Winthrop Harbor

Greg has been a major part of the Bean Team since Melissa's first victory in 2004. He is a trusted name to help walk parades, neighborhoods, practically anywhere! He also can be heard on the phone in the evening shoring up support for events and recruiting more volunteers. Greg truly is the definition of a Bean Team All-Star!

Betty – Palatine

Betty has been an all-around cheer leader for the Bean Team. You could almost consider her a den mother to our tired (and hungry) campaign staff! This fall, Betty has shined in our office with her computer savvy helping to design our event invitations and keeping our database organized. We could not be more grateful to have her on the team!

Alice - Lake Barrington

Alice has been a Bean Team All-Star since the '03/'04 campaign. She has braved all sorts of projects from mailings to walking door-to-door collecting petition signatures. She returns this time around helping Melissa get on the ballot and has been a big help in our office being part of our volunteer outreach and mail program.

These are just a few of the amazing people we have helping Melissa stay in Washington. We can't forget all of you from the summer that have walked in our parades and helped in the various events along the way!

If you or someone you know would like to be a volunteer, contact Ray today at ray@melissabean.com or call our office (847) 304-0056 to find out how you can become a Bean Team All-Star!
